This week’s winner on CBC’s competition series CANADA’S SMARTEST PERSON is 31-year-old fighter pilot Max Cameron, of Calgary, AB.
Cameron wanted to be a fighter pilot since he was a child. To bring his dream to life, he studied Aviation Technology at Selkirk College, received a Bachelor Degree at the University of Fraser Valley, and a Masters of Aeronautical Science at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He now works as an F-18 pilot, one of the nation’s deadliest aircrafts. Cameron loves living on the edge with his high-adrenaline career, and often describes having an office at 30, 000 ft as “Awesome.” His exciting career and strong education provided him with a playground to practice all of the intelligences and helped give him the confidence to win tonight’s episode.
Cameron will join magazine editor Victoria Leenders-Cheng of Montreal, QC, copywriter Mith Das of Toronto, ON, firefighter Chris Tessaro of Mississauga, ON and Albert Tam of Woodbridge,ON in the series finale later this fall as they battle it out to take home the title of CANADA’S SMARTEST PERSON.
Tune in on Sunday, November 2, at 8 p.m. (8:30 NT) as a drag artist/screenwriter, orthopedic surgery resident, teacher and a retired navy communicator compete in six revealing intelligence challenges that go beyond your average IQ test or trivia quiz to earn the title of “Canada’s Smartest Person”. Plus, actress and model Shannon Tweed makes a special guest appearance.
