(Toronto, ON) - Big names from the worlds of television and country music come together to add even more luster to the star-studded 2014 Canadian Country Music Association Awards Show on Sunday, September 7th at 8 p.m. local time (8:30 p.m. NT) on CBC-TV and on CMT (Canada) at 10 p.m. ET. CBCMusic.ca will live-stream the award show at cbcmusic.ca/CCMA;and in addition, will have the show available On-Demand post broadcast.
 
CBC’s Gemini Award-winning host and satirist Rick Mercer and Juno Award-winning singer-songwriter Jann Arden will form a dynamic duo as co-hosts of the show at Edmonton’s Rexall Place. A total of eight CCMA Awards will be handed out over the course of the night by an impressive list of presenters, including CBC stars Jessi Cruickshank and Jeff Douglas, hosts of Canada’s Smartest Person, and stars of CBC’s Heartland, Amber Marshall and Graham Wardle. CMT’s Paul McGuire, host of the Chevrolet Top 20 Countdown, and Carmel Baird, star of Mom’s a Medium will also share presenting honours.
 
Confirmed musicians to present at this year’s CCMA Awards Show in Edmonton, Alberta are Gord Bamford, Jason Blaine, Chad Brownlee, George Canyon, Tom Cochrane, Lindsay Ell, Wendell Ferguson, Sam Hunt, Wes Mack, Beverley Mahood, Lindi Ortega,MacKenzie Porter, Deric Ruttan, The Stellas, Tebey, Bobby Wills and Michelle Wright.
 
The CCMA Awards Show feature live performances by some of today’s biggest country acts including Canadian artists: Autumn Hill who will take the stage with host Jann Arden, Gord Bamford, Paul Brandt, Dean Brody, Terri Clark, George Canyon, Tim Hicks, Kira Isabella, Brett Kissel, Jess Moskaluke, Dallas Smith and The Road Hammers. As well, platinum-selling international artists Little Big Town and Dierks Bentley are slated to take the stage and perform.
 
Highlights of the 2014 CCMA Awards Show will air on Canada Live on CBC Radio 2 on Monday, September 8th at 7 p.m. local time (7:30 p.m. NT) and again on CBC Radio One on Friday, September 12th at 2 p.m. local time (2:30 p.m. NT).
 
Encore presentations of the awards will air on CBC-TV on Sunday, September 13th at 10 p.m. local time (11 p.m. AT/11:30 p.m. NT)and on CMT Sunday, September 7 at midnight ET and Monday, September 8 at 3 p.m. ET.
