CBC/RADIO-CANADA ANNOUNCES BROADCAST SPONSORS FOR ITS COVERAGE OF 2014 FIFA WORLD CUP BRAZIL™

CBC/Radio-Canada, Canada’s official broadcaster for the upcoming 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™, airing June 12-July 13, 2014, is pleased to announce eight confirmed broadcast sponsors of CBC’s coverage of the event: Coca-Cola, adidas, CIBC, Official Canadian Bank in Association with Visa, Johnson & Johnson, Budweiser, Bell, Chevrolet and Hotels.com.

Coca-Cola will be the title sponsor of CBC/Radio-Canada’s Halftime program Coca-Cola At The Half as well as the telestrator segment, Coca-Cola Inside the Game. Johnson & Johnson, through brands Listerine, Polysporin, Reactine and Tylenol, will be the presenting sponsor of the Pregame Show while Chevrolet will be the presenting sponsor of the Postgame Show. Budweiser returns as title sponsor of Budweiser Man of the Match, and Hotels.com will be the presenting sponsor of Football, A Beautiful History, a feature documenting the celebrated history and cultural significance of the FIFA World Cup™.
 
For the first time, CBC/Radio-Canada will provide viewers with the two-hour prime-time magazine-style show adidas Prime Time Show. The program will offer extended game highlights, expert analysis and an in-depth look at the tournament, and other features including the adidas Play of the Day.
 
CIBC Soccer Nation will return for a seven-city viewing party tour each weekend throughout FIFA World Cup™, bringing the beautiful game to audiences in communities across the country. Mobile viewing parties will be hosted in Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Regina, Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto. Official tour dates will be available in the coming weeks.
 
This summer, fans will be able to get closer to the game than ever before with the CBC’s FIFA World Cup™ App brought to you by Bell available for iOS and Android. The app will carry six live feeds per match, allowing users to select from six different live video angles in addition to a web player and video-on-demand clips. The app will also feature in-match clips covering all major moments including goals, saves, shots, skills, fouls and injuries, as well as three Twitter feeds, a Facebook wall and a Google+ page.
 
CBC/Radio-Canada will have multiplatform coverage throughout 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™ from June 12-July 13. Further broadcast details will be released later today.
