WINSLOW TAYLOR WINS ENTRÉE CHALLENGE IN SECOND EPISODE OF CBC'S RECIPE TO RICHES

Mississauganative’s recipe inspires new President’s Choice® Jammin’ Jamaican Lobster Bisque

RECIPE TO RICHES aired its second episode this evening, with three home cooks battling it out over their signature entrée recipes. Winslow Taylor ofMississauga, Ontario impressed the judges withhis Jammin’ Jamaican Lobster Bisque, beating out Melissa Gilbert’s Great Canadian Turkey Dinner, Eh? and Marjan Mogharrabi’s Persian Inspired Turkey Kebobs. As well, starting this weekend, Canadians can purchase President’s Choice® Jammin’ Jamaican Lobster Bisque at select Loblaw banner stores across the country.

Winslow’s Jammin’ Jamaican Lobster Bisque is a fragrant, spicy bisque made with coconut milk, butternut squash, cream, sustainably-sourced wild lobster and, of course, Scotch bonnet peppers. The Afghanistan veteran credits the army with inspiring this recipe and with teaching him how to perform great (and delicious!) feats under pressure. Winslow’s victory last night earned him $25,000 and a spot in the live series finale on Wednesday, April 2 at 9 p.m. (9:30 NT) on CBC-TV for a chance to win $250,000.

Next week’s episode of RECIPE TO RICHES airs on Wednesday, March 12 at 9 p.m. (9:30 NT) on CBC-TV and features the savoury pies category. Each competitor will need to impress the esteemed panel of judges, featuring marketing guru Arlene Dickinson, chef and entrepreneur Vikram Vij and food expert Gail Simmons. RECIPE TO RICHES is hosted by actor and food-lover Carlo Rota. RECIPE TO RICHES was created and produced by Temple Street Productions.
