GEORGE STROUMBOULOPOULOS TONIGHT KICKS OFF ALL-NEW 10th ANNIVERSARY SEASON

George Stroumboulopoulos Tonight, returns with renowned guests, beginning 7 p.m. (7:30 NT) September 16 on CBC-TV

GEORGE STROUMBOULOPOULOS TONIGHT heads into its 10th anniversary season with entertaining, brand new episodes, beginning Monday, September 16 at 7 p.m. (7:30 NT) on CBC Television. George provides a unique take on entertainment programming, bringing his viewers closer than ever to the action, through his thought-provoking and surprising discussions with cultural icons and internationally renowned celebrities. Not only do viewers tune in for George’s award-winning interviews every evening, they are also entertained by the much-loved comedy panel, playful segments and more.

Launch week kicks off with Forbes’ third-highest-earning comedian Russell Peters in the red chair and CBC’s own Ron James on the comedy panel. It will also showcase appearances by author and business expert Amanda Lang; comedian, actor and writer Gerry Dee; physician, author and holistic health guru Deepak Chopra; Harry Potter sensation Daniel Radcliffe; musician and songwriter Slash; British comedian, actor and writer Michael Palin; and Canadian actress Amber Marshall.

GEORGE STROUMBOULOPOULOS TONIGHT airs Monday through Friday at 7 p.m. (7:30 NT), with an encore airing at 11:30 p.m. (12 midnight NT). The show is taped daily in front of a live studio audience at the CBC Broadcasting Centre in Toronto. Tania Natscheff is executive producer and Dan Hughes is senior producer. George Stroumboulopoulos is co-executive producer and host.
