GEORGE STROUMBOULOPOULOS TONIGHT IS BACK WITH ALL-NEW EPISODES JULY 1

George Stroumboulopoulos Tonight returns with iconic new guests, beginning 7 p.m. (7:30 NT) July 1 on CBC-TV

GEORGE STROUMBOULOPOULOS TONIGHT is back with brand-new episodes beginning Monday, July 1 at 7 p.m. (7:30 NT) on CBC Television. George offers viewers a fresh alternative to entertainment programming, with his compelling and insightful signature interviews with Canadian and international celebrities and cultural icons.

July kicks off with a Canada Day special Monday, July 1, featuring World Figure Skating Champions and Olympic Gold medalists Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir and the hilarious Ron James (The Ron James Show on CBC Television).


Throughout the month, GEORGE STROUMBOULOPOULOS TONIGHT will feature a wide range of icons, original thinkers and artists in the red chair, including:

George will also host CBC’s Canada Day International, the inaugural free summer festival in New York’s Central Park June 29. Then, George and CBC News Network’s Heather Hiscox will be at Canada Day International’s London celebrations in Trafalgar Square July 1. Live TV and radio coverage of Canada Day from Ottawa begins at 11:30 a.m. ET on Monday, July 1. And new to CBC this year, experience the LIVE STREAM of the Canada Day International London concert at 1:30 p.m. ET only on CBC.CA/CANADACELEBRATES.

GEORGE STROUMBOULOPOULOS TONIGHT airs Monday through Friday at 7 p.m. (7:30 NT), with an encore airing at 11:30 p.m. (12:00 NT). The show is taped daily in front of a live studio audience at the CBC Broadcasting Centre in Toronto. Tania Natscheff is executive producer and Dan Hughes is senior producer. George Stroumboulopoulos is co-executive producer and host.
