Canadians voting on the most dependable line in hockey history
What began as a tournament featuring 16 of the top lines in hockey history is now down to just two! This spring, CBC’s HOCKEY NIGHT IN CANADA and Maytag are presenting the Dependable Lines Contest, and Canadians have been voting on their choice for the most dependable line in hockey history. This past week, two more lines were eliminated from the competition, and the voting is down to the two final competitors - “The Dynasty Line” takes on “The Great Ones”.
Available at cbcsports.ca/dependablelines, The Dependable Lines Contest is a fun bracket-style tournament where hockey’s most dependable lines “face-off” against one another to win votes. Canadians are encouraged to vote for the hockey lines that they believe to be the most dependable. Each week, the team with the most votes in each bracket moved on to the next round, with the final winning line to be voted the most dependable hockey line of all time.
In addition, one lucky Canadian who voted will win an entire line of dependable Maytag appliances worth $8,395. The grand prize includes a Maytag Ice20 French Door Refrigerator, Stainless Steel Tall Tub Dishwasher, True Convection Free Standing Range and a pair of Maxima Laundry appliances. The winning line and the contest winner will be announced later this spring on CBC’S HOCKEY NIGHT IN CANADA.
The contest is being supported by four 30-second Maytag-sponsored segments highlighting hockey’s best lines airing within CBC’S HOCKEY NIGHT IN CANADA, two 15-second Maytag brand spots and a further 15-second spot launching on CBC. Media planning for Maytag Canada is handled by MediaCom.
