LIVE FROM VANCOUVER AND KELOWNA, IT'S THE IRRELEVANT SHOW!

THE IRRELEVANT SHOW is making its first-ever trip to British Columbia to record all-new episodes of its national radio show
CBC Radio One’s award-winning comedy show, THE IRRELEVANT SHOW, will make its way west to record two evenings of all-new sketches and songs, Wed, Mar. 16, 2016 in Vancouver, BC and Fri, Mar. 18, 2016 in Kelowna, BC. These recordings will give BC listeners their first-ever chance to see the cast of the show live in action. Starring Mark Meer, Neil Grahn, Jana O’Connor and Donovan Workun, these tapings will also feature special guests Amy Shostak (Vancouver), Cathy Derkach (Kelowna) and music maestro Jan Randall, with live sound effects by Dave Clarke. In Vancouver, fans can look forward to musical guest, Kieran Martin Murphy. Each evening, they’ll record two all-new episodes which will be broadcast nationally in April and May.

THE IRRELEVANT SHOW‘s live recording is an event unto itself. Most of the sound effects are live, as is a lot of the music. And what happens between sketches is really a second show,” says show producer, Peter Brown. “The live audience sees all of the mistakes and banter that the radio listeners miss out on. Plus, their reactions help us decide which sketches and jokes actually make it onto the show.”

Returning to airwaves for its sixth season, THE IRRELEVANT SHOW is a weekly half-hour radio show offering listeners a sketch buffet with content suitable for all comedy fans. The show mines our common experiences for laughs, offering a fresh take on dating, parenting, education, office politics, book clubs and the attitudes that set us apart as Canadians. Sketches take on pop culture, trends and more. Since its debut, THE IRRELEVANT SHOW has won two Canadian Comedy awards and a medal at the prestigious New York festivals.

THE IRRELEVANT SHOW DATES:
Wed, Mar. 16 - Centennial Theatre, North Vancouver - Vancouver, BC
Fri, Mar. 18 - Kelowna Community Theatre (part of Kelowna Fan Expo) - Kelowna, BC
