MEET THE CANADIAN FAMILIES FACING OFF ON SEASON 3 OF FAMILY FEUD CANADA, PREMIERING SEPTEMBER 27 ON CBC

Hosted by Gerry Dee four nights a week, 102 new episodes featuring Canadian families begin Monday, September 27 at 7:30 p.m. on CBC and CBC Gem

CBC today revealed some of the Canadian families who will participate in the upcoming season of FAMILY FEUD CANADA, premiering Monday, September 27 on CBC and the free CBC Gem streaming service. Hosted by Gerry Dee, the third season will feature 102 new episodes and broadcast four nights a week (Monday through Thursday) at 7:30 p.m. (8 NT).

FAMILY FEUD CANADA invites families to go head-to-head to answer the top responses to survey questions, with a uniquely Canadian twist, for a chance to take home up to $30,000 per family. Season three will welcome back a live audience at a reduced capacity and will also mark the first time Pan-Canadian families will be considered to play since the start of the pandemic. The show is currently filming at CBC’s Broadcast Centre in Toronto while adhering to strict COVID-19 protocols.

Below is a sample of families who are set to appear on upcoming episodes of FAMILY FEUD CANADA:

  • THE AFRANIE FAMILY (Vaughan, ON) - The Afranie family consists of Captain Berlinda, her sisters Whitney and Dani, and their cousins Princilla and Laura.
  • THE BOSSE-LAROSE FAMILY (Saint John, NB) - The Bosse-LaRose family consists of Captain Contessa (Scott), his husband Andrew, his father John, and his two siblings Jason and Brianna. Scott owns Canada’s largest drag bingo, which he hosts as his drag persona, “Contessa,” and features drag superstars from all over North America.
  • THE CAMPBELL FAMILY (Ajax, ON) - The Campbell family members are returning champs from Season 2 and they’re back to win again. Captain Chantal, who used to be the leader of her high school step dancing team, brings along her older sister Lesa and her cousins Nikita, Stephen, and Deidre.
  • THE FREY FAMILY (Edmonton, AB) - The Frey family is composed of Captain Coreen, her husband David, her son Andrew, her daughter Amy, and her son-in-law Ryan. They often do puppetry for their local church and have a collection of over 30 puppets. 
  • THE GALLANT FAMILY (Brockton, PEI) - The first ever PEI family to compete on Family Feud Canada, the Gallant family is made up of Captain Tyler, his sister Amy, brother-in-law Myron, mother Judy, and brother Cory. Judy manages a Canadian Potato Museum and Cory is a famous country singer.
  • THE GLASGOW FAMILY (East Preston, NS) - The Glasgow family are 10th generation Indigenous African Canadians who live on the same land that has been in their family since 1739, making them very proud to represent their ancestors and bloodline. Captain Gary brings along his sister Adrienne, his mother Connie, and his cousins Ruby and Kevin. Gary played the role of Detroit Velvet Smooth in Trailer Park Boys, for which he won a Gemini Award. 
  • THE GREWAL FAMILY (Vancouver, BC) - The Grewal family comprises Akash, his wife Raj, his sister-in-law Happy, his brother-in-law Balraj, and Raj’s nephew Armaan. They are huge Vancouver Canucks fans and enjoy volunteering for various charitable causes together.
  • THE GUJRAL FAMILY (Burnaby, BC) - The Gurjal family is composed of siblings Sunny and Sonica, their partners Jasleen and Raj, and cousin-in-law Imrandeep. They are all big Vancouver Canucks fans. 
  • THE HAMILTON FAMILY (Toronto, ON) - The Hamilton family is a Guyanese/Jamaican Canadian group looking to represent their roots and Toronto’s multiculturalism. Captain Leianne brings along her husband Leon, her cousin Natasha, and her cousins-in-law Rochelle and Melika.
  • THE MARACLE FAMILY (Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory, ON) - The Maracle family is proudly Indigenous and boasts impressive accomplishments, such as a member having nine albums under his belt and recently opened for this year's 50th annual JUNO Awards. Captain Kimberlee brings her husband David and her nieces Gudgie, Rebecca, and Tammy. 
  • THE MERCER FAMILY (Horwood, NL) - These women are the offspring of the Mercer sisters that appeared in Season 1. Captain Dolly and cousins Tanya, Sonya, Renée, and Jessica are incredibly proud to represent their tiny village of only 300 people.
  • THE MUPAMBWA FAMILY (Calgary, AB) - The Mupambwa family members immigrated from Zimbabwe and are entrepreneurs running multiple businesses, such as restaurants and a shoe store. Captain Ropa brings her sister Natasha, her brother Ronnie, her cousin Eba, and her mother Rose to the Family Feud Canada stage. 
  • THE NOEL FAMILY (Montreal, QC) - The Noel family consists of five fashionable and fit Haitian cousins who love to dress to impress. Captain Richard brings along his equally stylish cousins Steve, David, Patrice, and Mathieu.
  • THE O’DELL FAMILY (Kelowna, BC) - This family of teachers is made up of David and his children, Kylee, Megan and Craig as well as his wife, Michelle. Their family mascot is a guinea pig named Colin who has been featured in the news more than once. 
  • THE SEIVEWRIGHT FAMILY (Montreal, QC) - The Seivewright family consists of Captain Shane, his mother Claire, his partner Jordan, his cousin Patrick, and Patrick’s partner Sacha. Shane calls himself “Mr. Montreal,” as he has a vast amount of knowledge on the city from his work as a tour guide.
  • THE VELASCO FAMILY (Calgary, AB) - The Velasco family members have an affinity for tattoos and fully embrace their Filipino and Italian backgrounds. Captain Ayana is joined by her sisters Aaliyah and Alannah, her cousin Genesis, and her cousin-in-law Daniel.

Family Feud is one of television's longest-running and top-rated game shows watched by audiences around the world. First introduced in the U.S. in 1976, the much-loved game show has been picked up in 71 international markets to date including the United Kingdom, Australia, France, India, Indonesia, and the United States.
